Heather’s significant contributions to sport in Australia have spanned over two decades. Today she holds prominent leadership positions in sport and the media, including Chief Executive Officer for Australian Taekwondo, football analyst and commentator for Optus Sport and Channel 7, Board Director for Football Australia and Confederation of Australian Sport and Technical Committee Member for the Asian Football Confederation.

Heather is a decorated footballer who had a 15-year professional playing career, where her highlights were earning 130 caps for Australia's national team, the Matildas, playing in 3 FIFA Women's World Cups, 2 Olympic Games and winning the Asian Football Confederation Cup. In recognition of her achievements Heather received football’s highest accolade in 2022, induction into Football Australia’s Hall of Fame.
